GCSE Maths
Welcome to the Dixons GCSE revision website for maths.
Each paper has a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes and each paper is worth 80 marks. The qualification comprises of three written examination papers of equal weightage, which can be taken at either Foundation or Higher tier.
While Paper 1 is a non-calculator assessment, calculators are allowed for Paper 2 and Paper 3. There are two tiers available, Foundation and Higher, with content defined for each tier. The content specified for each tier will be assessed in all three papers.
The Foundation tier corresponds to grades 1 to 5, while the Higher tier corresponds to grades 4 to 9 (with grade 3 allowed).
The qualification will be graded and certified on a nine-grade scale, ranging from 9 (highest) to 1 (lowest), based on the total marks obtained in all three papers. The individual papers will not be graded.
