Welcome to the Dixons GCSE revision website for Spanish. Here you can find resources to help you with your exams.

The GCSE has four papers split into: reading, listening, writing and speaking. Each exam is worth 25% of overall grade. 

Length of exams: 

Higher: 

• Paper 1: Listening - 45 minutes (including 5 minutes of reading time) 
• Paper 2: Speaking – 8-10 minutes (including 12 minutes of preparation time for the Role play and Picture card task)  
• Paper 3: Reading – 1 hour 
• Paper 4: Writing – 1 hour 20 minutes  

Foundation:  

• Paper 1: Listening – 35 minutes (including 5 minutes of reading time) 
• Paper 2: Speaking – 6-9 minutes (including 12 minutes of preparation time for the Role play and Picture card task) 
• Paper 3:  Reading – 45 minutes 
• Paper 4: Writing – 1 hour 15 minutes
